The International Art Exchange
Before specifically addressing "terms," be assured that the necessary delineation of requirements and expectations does not reflect the purpose of this site. Terms must be defined to clarify the interaction between the buyer, seller and INTARTEX. The basic purpose of this site is to provide a marketplace, at reasonable expense, for both buyers and sellers (see also art as an investment tutorial 4) and to provide a platform for viewing all types of art from period collectibles to new creative works.
On items purchased, buyers pay no commission.

You are allowed to place a bid price on an item below the offering price for the seller to accept or refuse.
Sellers display your art free, there is no fee for posting. There is no commission unless your possession is sold!

Items valued at less than $100.00 will not be accepted. INTARTEX, without explanation, reserves the right to reject displaying any item deemed unsuitable or any item from any individual deemed problematic.
Maximum Display: 3 Photos/Item
Intartex reserves the right to determine the number of photos to be posted and the exact wording of the written material to be presented with them.
When available, photos can be posted on the gallery lead page:
1 Photo for 1 Month: $20.00. Photo posted on Page 1 of a category: $10.00/month.
Brief advertisements that lead to another website appearing in the descriptive material accompanying a gallery photo: $20.00/month. Mutually agreed upon reciprocal linking: no charge. Formal advertising on the Advertisers page: $0.10/word/month.
On items sold, sellers pay $12.00 + an 8% commission on the posted selling price to INTARTEX. This includes Escrow Service. Buyer receives merchandise before seller is paid by INTARTEX. Sellers guarantee authenticity.
Privacy & Policy
We support the artistic community by minimizing transaction costs and offering assured payment. Information received by INTARTEX will not be provided to anyone for any reason. Intartex reserves the right to change policy at any time; however, any transactions initiated prior to a change in policy will be honored as such.
Escrow Method INTARTEX is a gallery presenting art as a marketing service. INTARTEX is not to be sent any art. Only photos and a brief description will be displayed on the website.
As it is not in physical possession of the art, it is to be understood and agreed to by both buyers and sellers that INTARTEX is in no way responsible for any damages, problems, or misrepresentations arising for any reason in any transaction. Mediation is pursued.
Buyer orders item(s) using "buy now" button. INTARTEX bills buyer. Buyer pays INTARTEX. INTARTEX clears and cashes payment. Seller receives a copy of the invoice and a copy of the check and is notified when funds have been received and cleared. Seller then sends merchandise. Buyer acknowledges receipt of merchandise (seller mails items with "return receipt requested"). Seller receives check for sales price minus commission (8% + $12.00/item) from INTARTEX. Both buyer and seller are protected. INTARTEX is a "verified" business (PayPal seal).
