Bamum Queen's Calabash

Atop the Queen's Calabash is the mother figure, complete with an infant. The neck is adorned with decapitated heads (vanquished enemies) displayed on miniature stakes. The rounded body and stem with encircling figurines symbolize the traditional hierarchy of Bamum society. Exquisite detail and strong original patina - a fantasic museum quality pair with the King's Calabash.
